GTC User Regulations

(Purpose)
1. This regulates the necessary matter to use GTC.
(Condition)
2. GTC can be used for research and education for P1 level to P3 level of recombinant DNA experiments and other gene experiments.
(Qualification)
3. Following people authorized to use this facility.
  1. Kumamoto university staff.
  2. Students, graduate school students and research students.
  3. People approved by the director.

(Application Procedure)
4. Users should choose and submit the appropriate application form as follows. When user conducts Recombinant DAN Experiment, the user should attach the copy of approval notice of experiment plan under safe management rules enacted Apr. 1st, 2004.
  • (1) Users should submit "Gene Technology Center Use" Application Form.(Form No.1) if they need to use GTC.
  • (2) Users should submit "Gene Technology Center, P3 Lab use" Application Form.(Form No.2)if they use P3 lab in GTC.
  • (3) Users should submit "GTC, Animal room use" Application Form (Form No.3) if they use animal room in GTC.
  • (4) Users should submit "Overtime and holiday Use" Application From (Form No.4) if they need to use the facility on overtime and holiday.
4-2. After the acceptance of the application, if users need to change the description of 4(1), 4(2) and 4(3), they have to submit the appropriate form to be approved by the director.
4-3. Users should submit "GTC Continuation Use Application Form" (Form No.6) if they need to continue using the facility in the next year.
4-4. Users should apply 4(1),(2), (3), 4-2 and 4-3 every year.
4-5. In accordance with 4(4), users should complete the registration procedure for use on overtime and holiday at GTC after they receive approval from the Director.

(Approval)
5. The director approves the application 4(1),(2)or(3) when it is admitted, and grants "GTC Use Certification" Form. (Form No.5)
(Submission of a Report)
6. Users should submit "GTC Use Completion / Cancellation" Form (From No.6), if they terminate or cancel the use of the facility.
(Abidance)
7. Uses should obey the GTC User Regulations, Safe Control Rules and GTC leaflet.
(Disrecognition)
8. The Director holds the right of disrecognition if users violate the preceding article, and can suspend their use of the facility.
(Duty of Cooperation)
9. Users have to cooperate for maintenance of the facility, education training of lectures and training sessions and operation.
(Defrayment of Expenses)
10. The director holds the right to claim a part of expenses to users as "Users fee".
10-2. The amount of the Users fee and its payment method are established in other regulations.
(Miscellaneous Regulations)
11. The director stipulates measures required to use of the facility in addition to this regulation.

This regulation has been enforced since Apr. 1st, 2004.
